The rich tradition of Spanish figurative painting

Íñigo Navarro is a painter who constantly draws on history to create symbols that allow him to judge our behaviour today. In his iconic paintings he explores the ambivalence of nature: while man pretends to dominate the world through his civilisation, he remains deeply connected to it through a natural and wild instinct.
Íñigo Navarro was born in 1977 in Madrid, where he studied Fine Arts and Mathematics. He began a successful career as a director, screenwriter and photographer. In 2006 he had his first solo exhibition in the USA. Since then he has been represented by national and international galleries that have shown his work in exhibitions and art fairs in many countries around the world.

Íñigo Navarro is represented by Galeria Contrast in Barcelona. The gallery specialises in contemporary figurative art based on the techniques of the old Spanish masters. The gallery's artists are aware of the art historical tradition and integrate the concepts and techniques of these models into contemporary art. In this way they create expressive images full of meaning, critical questions and a vision of contemporary society.

Rick Stevens and Alexandra Eldridge

Curious Conjurings

This series combines the artistic worlds of two great American artists. Alexandra Eldridge's work is full of literary references and allusions to myths, archetypes and fairy tales. She uses symbolic and dream-like imagery to stimulate the imagination, while landscapes are a recurring theme in Rick Stevens' work.
Rick Stevens' compositions range from stylised representations to more abstract paintings, always maintaining a mystical approach. His mystical approach to abstraction transcends the boundaries of direct representation.
Alexandra Eldridge explores the great themes of life - consciousness and unconsciousness, fear and love, memory and dreams - in an ethereal realism. In her process of mapping and layering meaning, Eldridge draws on a variety of literary and philosophical sources.
The artists are represented by NoonPowell Fine Art, London.

Crossroads: New Art from Africa

Phumulani Ntuli's work combines artistic research, sculpture, video installation and performative practices, always addressing different audiences and seeking to make visible gaps, ruptures, silences, pauses and remnants of history. His work is concerned with fictional geographies, simulations, archives and representations. He explores these themes through the collision of documentation and fiction in collages, performances and video installations, questioning the format of objective media in the representation of historical events and situations within a geopolitical imagination. Phumulani Ntuli is represented by Reku Art Gallery, Madrid.

Luco Cormerais

Sculpture sur papier un nouveau Faust quantique ?

Luco Cormerais began his artistic career as a stone sculptor. Since 2012, he also works as a sculptor on paper, which he cuts in a unique way with repetitive cuts and then expands into a three-dimensional graphic composition. Luco Cormerais is rethinking aesthetics. His works appear as wave-like structures that neither reflect nor absorb light, but instead radiate it. A passionate disciple of quantum physics and philosophy, Luco gently and poetically arranges particles like waves in a field. His work stabilises the dance of atoms in a very thoughtful and emotional way.
