Michael Frahm feels deeply connected to the sea and the harbours of the world. Frahm expresses this in his art. Colourful and positive is his motto, which is reflected in the various harbour motifs.
With the maritime light of the far north, Frahm brings the vibrant harbours of the world to canvas in clear and strong colours. Some works are textured, with ridges and cracks adding expression and drama. Others are more realistic, with rust effects brought to the canvas using chemical aids.
Another artistic exploration is the theme of happiness, which Frahm has been exploring for several years in an attempt to unlock its secrets. On German television, Michael Frahm became known as "The Happiness Painter".
