The gallery owners have been passionately committed to promoting African artists for many years, also working closely with Swiss artists. This commitment fosters cultural exchange, bringing different cultures closer together.
Shona stone sculptures are renowned for their impressive variety of colours and textures. They are both art-historically significant and fascinating. The sculptors combine traditional techniques with modern lifestyles to great effect. Alongside sculptures, the gallery presents contemporary paintings from southern Africa, offering further insight into the region's art scene. As a platform for authentic Shona sculptures from Zimbabwe, the Jean Theiler Gallery brings together art lovers and cultural figures and creates spaces for valuable dialogue between different cultures.
