Charlotte Harron: Precision, Colour, Nature Reimagined

When viewing Charlotte Harron's work, the clarity of the forms, the precision of the lines and the vibrancy of the colours immediately stand out. The New Zealand-born artist, who now lives in Switzerland, has developed a unique approach to nature.
She breaks landscapes down into geometric building blocks, reconstructs them, and uses them to create dynamic compositions full of energy. Harron herself calls this series 'Fractural Landscapes' – a name that encapsulates the concept perfectly. Landscapes are deconstructed and reconstructed, lines and triangles collide, and colour combinations create movement, rhythm, and intensity.

Harron has loved art and design since childhood, but initially pursued a career in business. It was only after spending time in Canada and the USA that she found her way back to her passion. Her time in Toronto was particularly formative, as she developed her practice through mentorships. All of these experiences now influence her work. Global travel and exposure to different cultures influence her choice of colours and compositions. Her work reflects her perspective on nature, being simultaneously complex yet minimalist and full of energy.
Harron's paintings are abstract yet accessible. They encourage viewers to pause and take in their structures, fostering a new connection to the natural environment. In a world dominated by speed and information overload, her landscapes offer moments of contemplation, acting as kaleidoscopes of colour, form and light that encourage conscious observation.
Her work has been exhibited internationally, including in Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States and Switzerland.

Charlotte Harron combines uncompromising design, global inspiration, and the beauty of nature to create a language that is both austere and poetic. Visitors to her 'Fractural Landscapes' exhibition experience reimagined landscapes and are encouraged to perceive the world around them more consciously, taking time to reconnect with the energy of nature.
