Strait
Switzerland
Strait is a contemporary French painter who draws inspiration from the energy and musicality of natural elements.
His powerful artistic style combines movement, colour and energy, moving between the abstract and figurative through a varied palette of techniques. Strait combines classical techniques and urban materials to create innovative concepts in artistic exploration while remaining true to his original artistic vision.
Following the completion of his academic training at the prestigious Auguste Renoir School of Applied Arts in Paris, he proceeded to specialise in visual arts for architectural environments at the Duperré School. His work as a stage designer took him to various countries, thus enriching his artistic path.
A major turning point in his career was his involvement with the graffiti movement in the 1980s, which manifested itself in his graphic design and preference for large formats. In 1997, he established his own clothing brand. Nevertheless, he continues to draw inspiration from nature, integrating it into his artistic expression through various artistic means that embody the movement of the sea, the transience of the tides and the eternity of stones.
Strait is currently involved in a wide range of exhibitions, performances and art events.
