Nature teaches us so much, we just have to look!
This guiding principle characterises the works of Yvonne Präger, who was born in 1973 in Essen, Germany.
Having received training in the fields of graphics, design and communication, the artist discovered painting at an early stage in her career. Following her relocation to Switzerland in 2008, Präger devoted herself with great dedication and intensity to oil painting in the studio of Mireille Desroches in French-speaking Switzerland. Her artistic endeavours underwent a significant progression when she moved to Lake Constance and began studying contemporary art in Überlingen, Germany.

Since 2020, she has worked as a freelance artist, and her oeuvre is chiefly inspired by nature, with its flora and fauna. Her large-format works capture the vibrancy and beauty of nature, focusing on the variety of natural colour nuances. Her preference for realistic painting is evident in her meticulous examination of the multi-layered details of her motifs, through which she develops a fine sense of light and shadow. The artist's oeuvre is distinguished by its plasticity and emotionality, offering a clear and unambiguous perspective.

Yvonne Präger's artistic path is characterised by a comprehensive exploration of various media and techniques. The endeavour to depict the aesthetics of nature manifests itself in all of the artist's works, which have received great international recognition and have already been awarded various art prizes. The artist's expressive works aim to share her enthusiasm for the small and large wonders of nature with her audience and to arouse interest in the vitality and aesthetics of nature, but also in its transience.
