Rolf Bräm

Rolf Bräm puts passion at the heart of his work. He impresses with his expressive talent and clear graphic design style. His work primarily features stones and mountains, reflecting his fascination with nature's 'elemental force'.

During hikes and road bike tours, he creates pencil sketches to capture the distinctive features of the landscape. From these, he creates idiosyncratic acrylic mountain paintings that convey the energy and power of mountains through strong reductions, clear forms, and bold colours. Bräm's mountains radiate emotion and exist simultaneously as surfaces, colours and rhythm.
He also creates art objects from stones and wooden slats, giving rise to their own mythology.

Alpine art is the work of two Engadin artists: Ernestina Abbühl and Rolf Bräm. They explore the Alpine landscape, expressing it in their own unique artistic ways.
