Atelier Animalia - Verena Kirchlechner

Driven by her fascination for animals, Verena Kirchlechner captures many impressions gained in personal contact, impressive, humorous, or touching situations, in portraits or excerpts. By effectively bringing out and accentuating the characteristic charisma of the portrayed animals, the viewer - just like the artist - is enchanted by the beauty and individuality of the animal world.

The artist lives and works in the city of Zug in Switzerland. Her studio is located in the centre of the medieval old town, directly on Lake Zug. Many art lovers know and appreciate her large unique pieces. The consistent and sophisticated technique on the one hand, and the high-contrast, flat background on the other, are a central distinguishing and recognition feature. Apart from the photographic accuracy, the paintings always reflect the special nature of the subject, one could also call it "the soul of the animal". Apparently, it is due to this straightforward development of her technique and striking composition in her paintings that her animal portraits are already in portfolios of collectors from almost all continents. Her regular exhibitions in Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Austria, Germany and Singapore have always been and continue to be very well received by the viewers.
