Interaktive Kunst - Joachim Ackva

Germany

In the four millennia-old myth, Zeus, in the form of the white bull Pegauros, carried the Asian princess Europa from Asia to Crete. The culture of Crete was named after Europa's son Minos, the first European civilisation to peacefully unite Orient and Occident.

The concept is interactive: clients and visitors can sit on the sculpture of the white bull, relax and recall the mythical journey of Princess Europa as part of the artwork. The lying surface of the sculpture has a unique shape: The shoulders come back, the chest opens to the sky, the centre opens. This unusually open posture is a refreshing counterpoint to the closed, forward posture of the digital age.
